Young people must not be afraid of being called "naive." This is because an unnaturally mature youth is simply not desirable. Young people tend to hide their "youthfulness." This is partly the fault of Japanese adults, who frequently use terms like "youthfulness" or "naivety" with a sense of slight contempt. As a result, young people stretch themselves unnaturally to act like "adults." I wish for an ethos where youth proudly display their "youthfulness" head-on and express their ideals calmly, even if they are called "naive." There is nothing more unbearable than a young person acting like an old person, and adults who push youth into such a state need to deeply reflect on themselves.
