Budget airlines achieve exceptionally low fares by cutting expenses and services. They limit bookings exclusively to the internet, and most in-flight meals come at an extra cost. Some companies even charge for checked baggage. Additionally, some airlines generate revenue through in-flight advertising. Passengers feel that since the fares are cheap, cramped seating and a certain degree of inconvenience are unavoidable. However, it is reported to be a problem that public transportation is not running at the time of arrival in Japan. It would be fine if there were budget hotels near the airport, but otherwise, travelers must either pay expensive taxi fares or spend the night at the airport. This is also an issue for Japanese airports. (Note: If they aim to become hub airports, this is a problem that must be resolved.)
