A Talking Vending Machine
Would you believe it if you heard that a vending machine talked? Most people would probably laugh and say that a vending machine couldn't possibly talk. However, a talking vending machine actually exists.
There is a vending machine near my house. It looks like an ordinary drink vending machine, but this vending machine can talk. For example, in the morning, when you stand in front of the vending machine, it speaks to you, saying "Good morning," and after you buy something, it says "Have a nice day." Also, I have seen it say "Thank you for your hard work" to a person who bought a drink at night.
At first, I was very surprised. That's because I thought machines talking only happened in the world of anime and movies. In the anime I often watch, machines speak and walk just like humans. So, when the vending machine spoke to me, I felt as if I were in the world of anime.
Now, I am used to the vending machine saying "Have a nice day" to me, and I answer "I'm off" in my heart. If a walking vending machine is created someday, I might not be surprised next time.
