"Inside the Station": Stations exist for people to use trains. However, these days, they have become not only for that, but also places for shopping. Stores inside stations are increasing. At small stations, newspapers and drinks have been sold for a long time. At large stations, souvenirs, bento box meals, and drinks have been sold. But now, clothes, neckties, and bags are also sold at large stations. At some stations, dozens of shops—including famous cake shops and coffee shops—are lined up. Shops inside stations are convenient because you can use them when getting on or off the train. There are also many customers. Railway companies rent out vacant spaces in stations or open their own shops. There are even stations with barbershops. At some barbershops, they cut your hair in about 10 minutes and it is cheap, so many people are always queuing up and waiting. Stations have become lively with shoppers.
