Reference translation
English
"Shitan" (Plant Toys) are currently selling well. "Shitan" is a new word created by combining the kanji "shoku" (plant) from "shokubutsu" (plant) and "gan" (toy) from "gangu" (toy), referring to items that are a combination of plants and toys. For example, Company A's plant toys, when opened and watered, sprout leaves with words such as "thank you," "congratulations," "I love you," and "I love you" written on them within 4 to 10 days. At Company B, when you open the product and water the egg sufficiently, the egg cracks open and a sprout emerges from inside. The words are "thank you" and "I love you." Both can be purchased for 800 yen or less, and they are reportedly selling not only to children but also to adults. ※Plant: plant ※Sprout: bud/sprout
