Part 1: How to conjugate verbs into the た-form
Sentence Pattern
Vた
This is the past tense form of the verb.
* **Group I:**
* い、ち、り → った
* み、び、に → んだ
* き、ぎ → いた、いだ
* し → した
* *Exception:* いきます → いった
* **Group II:** Vます → Vた
* **Group III:**
*来 ます → 来 た
* します → した (Nします → Nした)
This is the short form of the past tense. The conjugation rules are the same as the て-form, just replace て with た.

Part 2: ~ ことが あります (Have done ~ before)
Sentence Pattern
Vた ことが あります
Structure: Vた ことが あります. Meaning: Have done ~ before. Used to talk about past experiences. The verb あります is not conjugated into the past tense.

Part 3: V1たり、V2たり、~ する (Do things like V1 and V2)
Sentence Pattern
V1たり、V2たり、。。。する
Structure: ~は V1たり、V2たり、。。。する. Meaning: Do things like V1 and V2. Verbs are in the た-form + り. Used to list actions without indicating a specific order. Can be used for one or multiple subjects. The tense of the sentence is indicated by the verb する.
Example Sentences (2)
A: 日曜日は なにを しますか。
B: へやを そうじ したり、せんたく したり します。
B: へやを そうじ したり、せんたく したり します。
→ Used for one subject: A: What do you do on Sundays? B: I do things like clean my room and do the laundry.

Part 4: なる (To become ~)
Sentence Pattern
N / Na に なります / Aく なります
Structure:
* N に なります
* な-adjective (drop な) に なります
* い-adjective (drop い) く なります
Meaning: To become ~. Expresses a change of state. Often used in the past tense to indicate that a state has already changed.
