Part 1: ~ほうが いいです : Should/Should not ~

Sentence Pattern
Vた / Vない ほうが いいです
Structure: ~は Nを (Vた/Vない) ほうが いいです。

Gives advice on whether to do something or not.
Since this sentence pattern can imply imposition, its use with superiors should be limited. When giving advice as a suggestion or encouragement, the pattern ~Vたら、いいです is commonly used.

Expresses the speaker's conjecture or inference.

→ A: Nam was absent today, wasn't he? B: Yes, he probably got sick.

→ The sky is cloudy. It will probably rain soon.

Part 3: ~かもしれません : Might ~ / Maybe ~

Sentence Pattern
普通形ふつうけい + かもしれません
Expresses the speaker's judgment about a situation that might possibly happen.
The degree of certainty is lower than ~でしょう.

B: そうか。もしかしたら 猫ねこは たべてしまったかもしれない。

→ A: Mom, my fish is gone. B: Is that so. Maybe the cat ate it.
