1. ~のは (Nominalization of V)

Vる + のは + A + です
Used to replace and avoid repeating topic Ns in a sentence.
By adding the particle [の] after a plain-form V, we can nominalize that V.

2. ~のは / ~のが (Evaluation / Subject as an Action)
Sentence Pattern

Vる + のが + A + です
Evaluates that an action is fun, sad, overwhelming, etc.
The subject is the act of doing V.
[の] can be replaced with [こと].

3. ~のを 忘れました (Forgot to do something)

4. ~のを 知っていますか (Do you know that...?)
Sentence Pattern

The subject in the subordinate clause uses the particle [が].
If answering that you didn't know: [いいえ、知りませんでした] because you now know about it.
